About Active Auctioneers Foundation
The Active Auctioneers Foundation is excited to announce our 2017 fundraising gala Denim and Diamonds on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln, California. We sincerely hope you will be able to join us for this event, which includes dinner, and both a live and silent auction.
Founded by Scott Caldwell, the Active Auctioneers Foundation is dedicated to assisting the auction community in times of financial need or distress due to illness, injury, or death. Since its inception, the Foundation has helped many individuals through times of difficulty.
In 2010, a man named Frank Gromak was diagnosed with throat cancer. Since that time, he has endured countless surgeries and procedures, gone through chemotherapy and radiation treatments, and developed two separate brain tumors, both unrelated to the original cancer. Because of his illness, he has been unable to work for years. His wife Carole has struggled to take care of him and their children, while also trying to work to pay for Frank’s medical care. They have had to use all of their savings as well as part of their retirement fund to continue Frank’s treatment. Through the support of its members, the Active Auctioneers Foundation was able to provide the Gromaks with a check to help offset some of the staggering costs. At this time, Frank is working with therapists and is doing well.
The mission of the Active Auctioneers Foundation is to create awareness and building support within the auction community. Through encouragement, education, and a high standard of values and integrity, the Foundation is dedicated to providing a voice for the community and a vision for the future.
Enclosed please find more information regarding sponsorship opportunities for the upcoming gala. The Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, and your gifts will be 100% tax-deductible. Please thoughtfully consider joining in our mission to raise awareness to the struggles of those within the auction community, and provide assistance whenever possible.
